With the annual sitting of the house for the spring sitting of Model Parliament around the corner parties are finalizing their ministers, critics and deciding who it is to best fill those portfolios. This is often a time where those who are relatively new to the political arena are given a chance to become the rising star and truly make a name for themselves.

If one were to believe however that a mandatory aspect is to understand what it is that a minister does, in order to occupy the post, the SWAG government may want to run a course.

It was heard that upon ‘rising star’ Mr. Bradley, or should we say Hon. Jeff Bradley discovering that he will be representing the prestigious profile of Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development in this session of parliament his immediate response was “I am not entirely sure what a cabinet is or what being a minister is but I am probably willing to learn more over the coming years about this matter.”  A profile that is apparently dedicated to developing a sense of self government for the proud aboriginal people of this nation, as well as allowing the underappreciated group to have ‘proper representation’  is being represented by a minister who isn’t exactly sure what his job entails. If we were to give an A for effort the probable enthusiasm is present, however with a history of governments voting themselves out of government with a simple technical issue, the Prime Minister may want to keep a careful eye on this upcoming minister before the opposition convinces him that he is on their side.

Not to discredit Hon. Jeff Bradley who has a proud history of sitting quietly in the house while the world turn around him, our only suggestion to you Minister is to try Google, maybe they know what your job entails.
