From the Mope and Wail’s Tex McMurphy

January 17, 2014

As we approach yet another year of what will likely be a rambunctious session of Parliament, it is time to analyze our new leader, or should I say King of the Hill, the Rt. Hon. Erik Koskela. Mr. Koskela was elected this fall on a platform no one understood, nor tried. In truth, it is difficult to determine whether he is a socialist with no understanding of what socialism is, or whether he’s a conservative hiding in a red jacket. If this is the case, I propose a new name for our leader, Erik the Wolf in a Sheep’s Clothing. I raise the issue of Mr. Koskela’s ideology partly because he has been in so many different caucuses over the years that it is difficult to determine his true colours. His time under the IPP has generally been seen as one where he failed to create any waves whatsoever. During last year’s session, the general consensus was that he was a lap dog to our two latest Prime Ministers, the Rt. Hon. Keldon Formosa and the emperor himself, the Rt. Hon. Josh Pride.

Perhaps this is all unfair though, perhaps I am simply dismissing what I see as an unprepared leader when in fact he is simply an average guy and not a mechanical politician, something we have become very accustomed too. If this is the case, I would advise Mr. Koskela to begin reading both policy and procedure as it is my understanding that the other parties are ready to steamroll their way in to power. And as he knows, power can slip through your fingers quicker than a $20 bill at 1848.

To conclude my thoughts on our Prime Minister though, I must bring up an issue, one he may be sensitive on, but one that is in fact quite serious. His affinity to Canada has been called in to question, particularly regarding the photo posted below. Now I am not saying we should immediately call in to question his patriotism, but I will certainly listen carefully to the answers he provides on the subject.

Rt. Hon. Erik Koskela, I wish you well, but I fear you may be hoisted by your own petard before the speaker calls an end to our session.
